Fan Pier Marina

“The beauty and activity of Boston Harbor is so evident from Fan Pier. Having a group like HarborArts raising awareness about
the health of our waterways and oceans is a benefit to all of us.”

ONE VERY BIG FISH
COMES TO FAN PIER

On September 30, 2009 HarborArts launched the first in its series of monumental sculptures at Fan Pier — a 40' metal codfish — the "Fish". This monumental sculpture announces the launch of the HarborArts organization and their collaboration with the Urban Arts Institute and the Boston Arts Commission. The Fish will be berthed at Fan Pier Marina and is easily viewed by the public on land along the HarborWalk at Fan Pier — from September 30 to October 15. The fish will be lit at night which will make viewing even more exciting!

Fan Pier is proud to support HarborArts as it embarks on its first project, the creation of a 14-acre outdoor sculpture gallery on the HarborWalk at the Boston Harbor Shipyard. The Fish will leave Fan Pier on October 16 and swim on over to its next stop, The Children's Museum. On October 23 - November 1, 2009 the Fish will proudly be on display at The New England Aquarium.
